We have a good number of modern and highly productive nurseries throughout the National Capital Territory which strengthen our steps towards achieving our goal of self-sustainability. Nurseries play a major role in improving green cover of Delhi by producing all types of plants in large number which are easily used in the green areas maintained by us. The plant propagation is done by highly technical teams working in our nurseries under the commendable guidance of experts. Our nurseries are producing various trees, shrubs, hedges, edges, seasonals, groundcovers, ornamental plants including indoor & outdoor plants, Bonsai, etc. The sale counters in nurseries have become revenue generating assets of DDA. All types of plants are provided to the general public at reasonable prices. The sale counters also provide vermicompost and compost packets produced in various units of the department. We are now adding our focus on development of Hi-tech nurseries in which all season production of plants would be done with much ease and swiftness.
