We have set up several Mechanical Composting Units in green areas. Mechanical Composting unit consists of a machine that is used to make the compost from dry and dead leaves of plants and branches of trees/shrubs, which are collected from the cluster of parks within a radius of 12km. The collected requisite material is then processed by adding a Bio-Culture bacterium and stacked followed by frequent watering. Finally, well decomposed manure is obtained after 60-80 days. This process of conversion of compost is very sophisticated. After the starting of these units, there is a major reduction in incidents of burning in our Parks. This compost is then used in the parks and also sold at DDA Sale Counter/ Nursery at reasonable price.
