Water Bodies
The water bodies which are situated inside the DDA parks are mostly developed with greening, provision of fencing/railing, pitching etc. Most of water bodies are dry except during the rainy season & act as recharge basins to capture excess run-off. DDA has been maintaining these water bodies as stormwater recharge basins by connecting them with drains and maintaining the flow of sub catchment into the water bodies. The landscaping, beautification and grassing etc. is being carried out in a routine manner.
The water bodies which were being maintained as wet for recreational purposes through borewells, have now been substituted by installing wastewater treatment plants of suitable capacity/through STP treated water pipeline wherever feasible.
