Welfare Section/Branch of the Personnel Department deals with the following matters/work:

• compiling a list of DDA employees retiring on superannuation or voluntarily every month, for further necessary action by other branches including Vigilance Department, Finance Wing, etc.

• pursuing cases for settlement of pension (or family-pension) and other dues in respect of retiring (or deceased) DDA employees

• organizing common farewell functions for retiring DDA employees (including issuing Service Certificates to them) and for senior officers on their repatriation from DDA to their parent department

• operating/maintaining Staff Canteen and Snacks Counter at Vikas Sadan, New Delhi

• operating/maintaining Dispensary Cell at Vikas Sadan & Vikas Minar, New Delhi

• providing financial assistance from DDA Staff Benefit Fund for higher/professional education to the wards of serving DDA employees, recreational/study tour, etc.

• organizing Blood Donation Camp for DDA employees

• miscellaneous references from Union Ministries of Government of India and Personnel Branches of DDA

• various matters pertaining to DDA Employees’ Unions

• issuing necessary notifications/instructions for observance of Days/Events of National Importance, including conducting various competitions such as debates, essay writing, poster-making, etc.
