The Law Department is headed by the Chief Legal Advisor, assisted by the Additional Chief Legal Advisor, Deputy Chief Legal Advisors, Senior Law Officers, Junior Law officers and Legal Assistants.

The main functions of the Law Department are to provide legal advice/opinion and vet the documents/pleadings/notices as and when request is made by the concerned administrative branches of the DDA. The Law Department also monitors/follows up the pending court cases and looks after all other legal work of DDA.
