ARAVALLI BIODIVERSITY PARK
Aravalli Biodiversity Park (Area-277 Hec)
The park site consists of gentle to steep slopes, undulating terrain, flat hilltops, spoil heaps from mining, scattered murram, mined pits, quarries, and caves of varying length. Visualizing it as “Nature Reserve” of Delhi by making the whole site functioning as a catchment area, leading to infiltration of water & subsequent increase in groundwater table whilst reducing the pollution load and acting as a natural repository for the native birds, animals and plant species that are now locally extinct therefore serving as living museum and laboratory for promoting environmental education and researches.
